On Saturday night, the Philadelphia Eagles secured a win against the New York Giants with a score of 31-18 in an important NFC East game.
The Eagles took an early advantage when quarterback Jalen Hurts successfully connected with wide receiver A.J. Brown for a touchdown. The Giants managed to score a field goal in response, but the Eagles widened their margin in the second quarter with a touchdown run by running back Miles Sanders.
During the third quarter, the Giants narrowed the gap with a touchdown pass from quarterback Daniel Jones to wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins. Despite this effort, the Eagles once again took control in the fourth quarter, thanks to a field goal by kicker Jake Elliott.
Though the Giants managed to score in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter with a touchdown pass from Jones to running back Saquon Barkley, it was insufficient to change the game's outcome. The Eagles' defense limited the Giants to 18 points and achieved two interceptions against Jones.
The victory boosts the Eagles to a 12-3 record, placing them two games ahead of the Giants in the NFC East standings. Meanwhile, the Giants' record drops to 8-6-1, making it more challenging for them to secure a playoff spot.
