Ravens Dominate Bengals in Crucial AFC North Clash

In the opening match of the series, the Yankees emerged victorious with a 4-2 win. The Astros initially pulled ahead thanks to a two-run homer by Yordan Alvarez, but the Yankees quickly responded with a solo home run by Aaron Judge in the bottom of the first inning. New York further strengthened their position with an additional run in the second inning through a double by Jose Trevino, eventually taking the lead in the third with a two-run single from Anthony Rizzo.

The Astros seemed poised to turn the game around in the ninth inning by loading the bases with just one out. However, Jonathan Loaisiga managed to strike out Kyle Tucker and Mauricio Dubon, effectively ending the game and sealing the victory for the Yankees.

Gerrit Cole took the mound for the Yankees, allowing two runs across four hits in just over five innings, during which he struck out eight opponents and gave up two walks. Meanwhile, Framber Valdez pitched for the Astros, conceding three runs on five hits over nearly five innings, striking out nine and walking two.

With this win, the Yankees secured a 1-0 lead in the series. The two teams are set to face off again in Game 2 on Saturday night.
