On Wednesday, Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp will start individual drills as he returns to practice. Head coach Sean McVay mentioned that Kupp is making good progress towards playing in the game against the Raiders on Sunday.
Kupp has been out of action since he sprained his ankle during the game against the Cardinals in Week 2.
McVay noted that Kupp's involvement in individual workouts and exercises with the training staff today will provide more clarity on his condition. If Kupp is able to practice on both Thursday and Friday, McVay is optimistic that he will be prepared for Sunday's match.
McVay discussed the difficulties of replicating game-like conditions during practice, but he remains confident in Kupp's development if Wednesday's practice offers enough assurance.
This season, Kupp has accumulated 18 receptions for 147 yards and one touchdown over two games.
The Rams have also started a 21-day practice window for tackle Joe Noteboom, who suffered an ankle injury during the season opener.
