Miami Dolphins News & Updates

After being sidelined for two weeks, Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Zach Sieler returned to action with a pivotal play. He made a significant contribution by stopping a screen pass for a 10-yard loss against the Los Angeles Rams, which revitalized the Dolphins’ defense and was instrumental in their 23-15 win.

Miami's defense excelled by restricting the Rams to only field goals, achieving their first game of the season without allowing a touchdown. They successfully exerted pressure on quarterback Matthew Stafford during 15 dropbacks, securing four sacks and limiting the Rams to just three successful third-down attempts.

The Dolphins managed to earn 238 yards offensively, which stands as their second-lowest yardage in a victory under coach Mike McDaniel. This game marked the end of a streak of gaining at least 149 rushing yards in four consecutive games, yet quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s six crucial third-down conversions were key to maintaining their lead.

Despite a wrist injury, wide receiver Tyreek Hill broke a seven-game streak without scoring by achieving a touchdown in the third quarter. The win leaves Miami trailing the Denver Broncos by 1½ games for the seventh playoff spot in the AFC.

Looking ahead, the Dolphins will face the Las Vegas Raiders and New England Patriots at home before heading to Green Bay to take on the Packers on Thanksgiving night.
