The New York Yankees emerged victorious against the Boston Red Sox with a 7-4 win in an exciting matchup. The team from New York quickly gained an advantage with Aaron Judge hitting a two-run home run right in the first inning.

In response, the Red Sox saw Rafael Devers hit a three-run homer during the third inning. Despite this, the Yankees regained their lead in the fourth inning, thanks to a two-run single from Gleyber Torres.

The Yankees increased their advantage further in the eighth inning, courtesy of a solo home run by Giancarlo Stanton. Although the Red Sox managed to add a run in the ninth inning, it wasn’t sufficient to surpass the Yankees’ advantage.

On the mound for the Yankees, Gerrit Cole pitched for 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on six hits. Clay Holmes took over for the remaining 2.2 innings, securing the save.

This victory improved the Yankees’ record to 10-5 for the season, while the Red Sox’s record slipped to 7-8.
