The Philadelphia Eagles secured a victory against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game with a score of 31-7. This win advances the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII, where they will compete against either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Cincinnati Bengals, the finalists from the AFC Championship Game.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts led the Eagles' offensive efforts by passing for 121 yards and securing two touchdowns. Running back Miles Sanders contributed with 90 rushing yards, and wide receiver DeVonta Smith made five catches for 61 yards along with a touchdown.
The Eagles' defense played a pivotal role by limiting the 49ers to only 100 yards in total offense. Notably, Nick Bosa, the 49ers' key defensive player, didn't achieve any sacks, marking the first time this season.
The 49ers faced challenges without their starting quarterback, Trey Lance, who was sidelined due to an ankle injury suffered during the Divisional Round. Backup quarterback Brock Purdy encountered an injury late in the first half, leaving Josh Johnson to conclude the game. Johnson managed just 39 yards passing and threw an interception.
The Eagles are set to face either the Chiefs or the Bengals in Super Bowl LVII, scheduled to take place on February 12th in Glendale, Arizona.
