The New York Yankees triumphed over the Boston Red Sox with a score of 5-2 on Sunday, increasing their consecutive victories to five games.

Giancarlo Stanton launched a two-run homer in the first inning, providing the Yankees with an early lead. Aaron Judge followed up in the second inning with a solo homer, extending the score to 3-0.

The Red Sox narrowed the scoreline by scoring two runs in the third inning, thanks to an RBI double from Rafael Devers and a sacrifice fly from J.D. Martinez. Nevertheless, the Yankees responded with two more runs in the fifth inning, courtesy of an RBI single by Isiah Kiner-Falefa and a sacrifice fly by Anthony Rizzo.

For the Yankees, Domingo Germán gave up two runs on five hits over 5.1 innings, recording three strikeouts and allowing one walk.

Tanner Houck, pitching for the Red Sox, was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs on nine hits over 4.2 innings. He managed to strike out four batters and issued two walks.
