The Baltimore Ravens acquired cornerback Tre'Davious White from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round draft pick and a 2027 seventh-round pick from Los Angeles.
White brings experience and adds depth to Baltimore's defensive lineup, which is currently last in the NFL for pass defense. The team has also allowed 13 touchdown passes to wide receivers this season, which is the second-highest number in the league.
The Ravens have established starters in Marlon Humphrey and Brandon Stephens. However, Humphrey has missed nine games over the last two seasons, and Nate Wiggins has been out for two games this year.
White had been inactive for the Rams since Week 4 due to Darious Williams' return. The Rams allowed White to seek a trade because he wanted more opportunities to play.
This season, White has played in four games, in which he recorded 12 tackles and defended two passes. He had originally signed a one-year contract with the Rams worth $8.5 million.
At 29 years old, White has dealt with injuries in recent seasons, including a torn ACL in his left knee and an Achilles tendon injury. Before these setbacks, he had missed only three games in his NFL career and had earned two Pro Bowl selections.
The Ravens, having won six of their last seven games, are set to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night.
